My Hero
French photographer Sacha Goldberger created a life changing photo project with his own 91-year-old Hungarian grandmother Frederika she had been suffering from loneliness and depression because after her long adventure living through World War II hiding ten Jewish friends, being forced out of her home in Hungary by the Communist regime via death threats, and after Sacha had grown up her life didn't seem to hold any meaning or purpose until her hero photos went viral. Sacha created a Facebook page for Frederika and she quickly made over 2000 friends who would send her messages after seeing the photos like. "You're the grandmother that I have dreamed of, would you adopt me?" and " You made my day, I hope to be like you at your age." It was then that she once again found meaning in her life and since has shown no sign of depression.
